kate middleton's wedding tiara replica

The tiara was made in 1936 from diamonds and platinum and was purchased by the Duke of York for his Duchess three weeks before he became King George VI and she became Queen Elizabeth, the future Queen Mother.

She soon passed the tiara on to her daughter, Princess Elizabeth, now Queen Elizabeth II in 1944 as a birthday present for her 18th birthday.  Queen Elizabeth II  has never worn the tiara publicly, she did, however, loan it out to Princess Margaret as well as Princess Ann.

After a few decades the tiara made its most famous appearance at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton
